Hong I’d like to
ask Pamir At the
beginning of the Creation Whether the
heart of the most consideration And the chest
of the most generosity Art given to
thee? I’d like to
ask the glacier When God held
thee onto the Kunlun Mountains Whether it
hath spread out An arduous
future of a nation? Thou Divine
Land, cultivated by heaven and earth Ploughedst
thy root deep in the loess Waves
surging, innumerable glories swept away But thou,
super genes, art elves never fade away Thou Divine
Land, struggledst thy way forward from chaos The pair of
thy hands that painted pottery can weave the harvest of grain fields, A bowl of
plain noodles, chrysanthemums everywhere, and the nine-province-crossed
Yellow River Year in and
year out, the Great Wall to thy towering spirit becomes a witness Time flies,
and the world changes With the
ancient power, thou nourishst the voice of youth Stones worn
away by constant dropping, iron sharpened into needles With steps of
chasing the sun, thou showest thy gorgeous changes And once, I
walked Out of thy
boundary, like a butterfly breaking chrysalis, with my life fire-bathed Looking back
suddenly, by the end of the vast ocean Unexpectedly,
thou smiledst grandly, still holding me in thy protection I once Tortured myself
to challenge thy extensively deep feelings Yet only to
find, all flowers blossom as a sea Thou at last,
warmedst me into a wave of tenderness Translated by
